Special Indian Tabla Concert with Abhijlt Banerjee
and Suman Laha, Classical Veena Player

Many of you know Daniel Hirtz, who in addition to being an active board member with The FUSION Foundation, has studied the north Indian Tabla for over 30 years and he teaches Tabla here in the Phoenix area.

This visit also signifies the opening of the Dhwani Academy of Percussion Music, another creation of Abhijit Banerjee, here in Phoenix. Daniel is honored to have the opportunity to lead the academy under the supervision of Abhijit and is so very happy to be able to give better service to his students and the community.

Flordemayo - Universal Healer of the
International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers

Join Flordemayo as she shares her stories, visions and experiences as a universal healer, visionary and member of the 13 indigenous grandmothers.
Flordemayo was born in the highlands of Central America and is the youngest of 15 children. She grew up in a family of traditional healers and, at an early age, like others in her family, she was found to have the gift of Sight. When she was four years old, Flordemayo began learning the art of Curanderismo in the traditional way: taught from mother to daughter, generation to generation to be a Curandera Espiritu - a healer of divine spirit.
On Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th, Floredemayo will be holding a private audience at 10:30 a.m. Seating is limited, so please RSVP.

Lisa M. Hopper, the founder and CEO of World Care International Humanitarian Aid Organization in Tucson Arizona, author, international consultant and advisor, adjunct lecturer at University of Arizona and motivational speaker. Born in south Chicago and a veteran of U.S. Armed Forces, Lisa Hopper received her B.S. in Radiology Administration/Physics from George Washington University, D.C. After spending 17 years in the medical industry, she saw that a change was necessary in this system and decided to develop a new concept for a humanitarian organization. In 1995 Lisa began collecting supplies in her garage, believing that it was logical to recycle any viable resource and re-distribute it to those in need. Read more

The process of making the pieces of Ben's Bells is therapeutic and FUN - and no artisitc ability is necessary!

By the time a Ben's Bell is assembled, at least 10 people have worked on it, making it a TRUE COMMUNITY EFFORT!

Ben's Bells are not for sale. Several times a year, hundreds and hundreds of Ben's Bells are hung randomly in public places around Tucson and beyond. The only way to get a Ben's Bell is to find one or to be "Belled" (see "Bellings" for more information).

To date, over 23,092 Ben's Bells have been released!

Spirit Keepers gathers on the new moon for a community drum. This is an opportunity to share experiences during the last lunar cycle and set forth clear intentions for the coming cycle.
If you live in the Valley of the Sun, the greater Phoenix area, Spirit Keepers hosts the new moon community drum beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Shadow Rock Mountain Campus, located at 12861 North 8th Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85029 (south of Thunderbird on 8th Avenue). All are invited to attend. Please bring your drums, rattles and shakers.
